Talent and Industry Facts

Redmond and the Puget Sound region have arguably the highest number of companies and jobs in the interactive media and video gaming industry than anywhere else on the planet. The region supports a diverse ecosystem from industry stalwarts Microsoft XBOX, Nintendo and Bungie to nimble independent studios and infrastructure platforms such as Oculus VR and Valve. The foundation of the industry is, of course, a deep bench of talent from coding to arts to hardware. This bench is constantly renewed by the region’s educational institutions including nationally renowned DigiPen Institute of Technology and programs at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Cascadia College as well as University of Washington.
