  • Bart Phillips

  • Bart Phillips

    CEO

Bart says his job description is pretty simple: determine the strategic direction, hire the best and brightest, get them everything they need to succeed, and then get out of the way. His 30-year track record reveals his flair for creating highly successful public-private partnerships in Washington State. His secret? He explains, “Once you understand how a sector makes money or doesn’t, you can determine how to promote growth and retention.” Over the span of his career, he’s forged partnerships for everything from wood chips to silicon chips. He jokes about his contact list, “I don’t know much, but I know a lot of people who do.” When asked why Redmond needs economic development when it already has such a thriving slate of global technology firms, he says, “What we have now is not a birthright; it must be nurtured and amplified constantly.”  Bart is also an avid fly fisherman – when he’s not charting the course at OneRedmond, he can be found chasing trout, tying flies, building boats, or plotting the next fishing getaway.

  • Kristina Hudson

  • Kristina Hudson

    Director of Business Expansion

Kristina is a hands-on leader, so she spends most of her time out in the community meeting with some pretty amazing, world-changing local companies. She says, “Because of our talent base, Redmond is a magnet for innovative and globally-significant companies.” Kristina artfully connects these people and companies with the right resources at the right time, and in the past five years she’s helped create over 5,000 jobs and over $400 million in economic impact through her tireless work.

Kristina also helms the Washington Interactive Network, which she founded in 2005. As executive director of WIN, she’s helped make the region a global center for interactive media development and intellectual property creation. She works tirelessly to promote the local industry because she wants to “let the world know that we have a larger concentration of game development than anywhere in the U.S.” Much of Kristina’s personal time is spent wrangling kids and discovering new adventures and activities for her family to enjoy.
